Study Finds No Benefit From Daily Multivitamin Response
I learned that the use of daily multivitamins doesn't really help you, but it doesn't hurt you at all. But if you do take them it might help you in a long run, because if you don't get your proper amount of daily nutrients the vitamins could help you. Which can make your life healthier. The benefits that scientist is saying the multivitamins could warn off cancer and heart disease, which would be great if it did do that, but some scientist are now saying that the multivitamins don't do that.
Study Finds No Benefit From Daily Multivitamin
-studies found that the daily use of a multivitamin doesn't keep cancer or heart disease away
-the study included 161,808 women with doctors from 40 centers across the country that collected information about the daily use of the multivitamins
-studies show that the people who have a nutrient-rich diets with fruits and vegetables have a lower rate of getting cancer or heart disease
-no studies show that the use of a daily vitamin would have a benefit similar to the diet
- with eight years of watching the women they looked for rates of cancer and heart disease with 42% of the women taking multivitamins and compared them to the other women who don't take any vitamin
- out of the 10 categories studied there were no differences in the "rate of breast or colon cancer, heart attack, stroke, blood clots or mortality" between the two women
-some studies have found no benefits, other studies found mixed results, and others found that it could help with colon cancer, cardiovascular disease and breast cancer
- doctors say that there isn't really any benefits, but they aren't hurting the people who take them anyway
-$20 is annually spent on drugs and dietary supplements
-scientist say that the studies shouldn't keep people from getting them, and that some people should keep buying them since they aren't getting proper nutrients from their daily diets
-so it could help people lead healthier lives if they take the multivitamins
-Dr. Neuhouser said. “What we’re presenting is the science showing it’s neither beneficial nor harmful. If they want to choose to spend their dollars elsewhere this might be a good place to do so. Perhaps they can buy more fruits and vegetables.”
